Communications
This screen provides details about communications modules and comms status. A sample screen is shown below.
This screen is accessed off the Metering > Communications menu or from the context menu of a meter (cog > View Communications).
| Column Name | Description |
|---|---|
| Host address | IP address of the communications module, where applicable |
| Port | TCP port number, where applicable |
| ICCID | Integrated Circuit Card Identifier is a globally unique classifier used to identify a physical SIM card |
| IMSI | International Mobile Subscriber Identity |
| IMEI | International Mobile Station Equipment Identity |
| Meter or Group | The meter serial number or meter group to which this comm module is attached |
| Status | Last 28 days of communications status |
The 28 coloured status blocks indicate the communication module's status over the recent past. The rightmost block is today's status and the leftmost the status four weeks ago. Hover the mouse over a block to see the date and status to which the block refers. Colours indicate each day's communications status:
| Colour | Meaning |
|---|---|
| OK (green) | Meter read successfully |
| Unread (orange) | Communications was not scheduled or attempted so far today |
| Error (red) | unable to establish communications so far today |
Viewing comm module statistics
Clicking a comm module's cog > View statistics menu navigates to the Communications Statistics screen.
