Meter Groups

Meters are grouped for the purposes of sharing a common communications module. A meter may only belong to, at most, one meter group at a time. Meter groups cannot be nested within another meter group.

Meters with in-built communications do not need to belong to a group.

Groups are set up at meter provisioning time.

Column Name	Description
Name	Name given to the meter group
No. of meters	The number of meters comprising the group. Click to see the group members.

Navigating to a meter group's communications module

Meters in close proximity to one another are often grouped together to share a ccommuncation module. Often it is more cost effective to communicate with devices that share a comm module rather rather than have dedicated comms per device.

Click the cog > View communications context menu to navigate from a Mteer Group to the group's Communications screen.
