Load Profile

Use the Load Profile Report to graphically view interval data. Usually the readings are provided at intervals of 5, 15, 30 or 60 minutes and then graphed over a period of days, weeks or months.

Once the Usage Point Group is selected the Channel Selector is displayed.

The report consists of 4 sections:

  1. The toolbar at the top
  2. The interval data graph
  3. The navigator at the bottom, and,
  4. The legend on the right

The toolbar The toolbar will help you quickly and easily navigate your way around large amounts of interval data. The buttons are:

  1. The date selector and the Today button (which sets the date selector to today)
  2. The previous < and next > arrows. These move the graph back and forward one period
  3. Compare previous. Ticking this box overlays historical readings over the current ones. There is also a numberic text box to select the number of periods, e.g. 2 months ago or 3 weeks ago, etc.
  4. The period selector, either day, week, month, year or all.
  5. Chart type selector, either line chart, bar chart or stacked chart. In a stacked chart the curves are added together to give summed totals.
  6. Clear. Press Clear to de-select the channels and start a new graph.
  7. Export to Excel. Downloads the data into Excel for offline processing.

The graph

Hover the mouse of a data point to see the reading and time stamp.

If your mouse has a scroll wheel you can zoom in and out by scrolling. You can also click and drag to nudge the graph a little to the left or right.

Zooming in this way enables you to see right down to the highest resolution.

At the other extreme, if you zoom right out (or select All from the toolbar) Netstream may aggregate data automatically so that a manageable number of points are displayed. Here, Netstream has aggregated about five years of half-hour data into 24-hour quantities for display.

The navigator

Use the navigator to select a different time span to what is available in the toolbar. You can move the dividers by clicking and dragging the handle, or click and drag the navigator selection.

The legend

The legend links the graph colour to the selected usage point. Click on the usage point NMI to open the Usage Point screen.

Click the close x button on the legend to remove a curve from the graph.
