Meters
This screen lists all of the primary meters in your configuration.
Use the filter boxes to refine your search, for example to find a meter by its serial number.
Column Name | Description |
---|---|
Serial Number | The meter's serial number |
Model | The make and model |
State | Netstream provisioning state |
Meter Group | The meter group name (optional) |
Last Read | When the meter was last read, or attempted to be read, by Netstream |
Status | Last 28 days of readings status |
A meter can be in one of these states:
- Configured. Partly provisioned into Netstream but not yet operational
- Commissioned. Provisioned into Netstream and operational
- Disabled. Provisioned into Netstream but temporarily switched off
- Decommissioned. No longer operational
The 28 coloured status blocks indicate the meters' reading status over the recent past. The rightmost block is today's status and the leftmost the status four weeks ago Colours indicate each day's meter reading status:
Colour | Meaning |
---|---|
OK (green) | Meter read successfully |
Unread (orange) | Meter was excluded from the reading pool and not read |
Error (red) | tried to read the meter but an error occurred |
If the meter is also a data logger, you can see its attached devices by clicking the arrow to the left of the primary device's serial number.
Like primary devices, click an attached device's cog
button to access the context menu.
Viewing meter events
To see the events recorded for a given meter, click cog
> View Events
. This brings up the Meter Events screen.
Navigating to the meter's usage point
Use the cog
> View usage point
context menu to navigate to the Usage Point (also known as a Connection Point or Meter Point) to which this meter is attached.
For a data logger, or a meter with logging capabilities, you will need to drill down to the attached devices and select
cog
>View usage point
. To see attached devices, click the arrow to the left of the primary device's serial number.
Navigating to the meter's communications module
A communications module may be attached to a single meter or to a meter group.
If the meter is directly attached to a comm module then use the cog
> View communications
context menu to navigate to the Communications screen.
