Meters

This screen lists all of the primary meters in your configuration.

Use the filter boxes to refine your search, for example to find a meter by its serial number.

Column Name Description
Serial Number The meter's serial number
Model The make and model
State Netstream provisioning state
Meter Group The meter group name (optional)
Last Read When the meter was last read, or attempted to be read, by Netstream
Status Last 28 days of readings status

A meter can be in one of these states:

  • Configured. Partly provisioned into Netstream but not yet operational
  • Commissioned. Provisioned into Netstream and operational
  • Disabled. Provisioned into Netstream but temporarily switched off
  • Decommissioned. No longer operational

The 28 coloured status blocks indicate the meters' reading status over the recent past. The rightmost block is today's status and the leftmost the status four weeks ago Colours indicate each day's meter reading status:

Colour Meaning
OK (green) Meter read successfully
Unread (orange) Meter was excluded from the reading pool and not read
Error (red) tried to read the meter but an error occurred

If the meter is also a data logger, you can see its attached devices by clicking the arrow to the left of the primary device's serial number.

Like primary devices, click an attached device's cog button to access the context menu.

Viewing meter events

To see the events recorded for a given meter, click cog > View Events. This brings up the Meter Events screen.

Use the cog > View usage point context menu to navigate to the Usage Point (also known as a Connection Point or Meter Point) to which this meter is attached.

For a data logger, or a meter with logging capabilities, you will need to drill down to the attached devices and select cog > View usage point. To see attached devices, click the arrow to the left of the primary device's serial number.

A communications module may be attached to a single meter or to a meter group. If the meter is directly attached to a comm module then use the cog > View communications context menu to navigate to the Communications screen.

Viewing meter statistics

Clicking a meter's cog > View statistics menu navigates to the Meter Reading Statistics screen
