Interval Data Quality

The Interval Data Quality report shows, for each usage point, whether up-to-date interval readings are available in Netstream and if there are any missing readings (‘data gaps’).

To run the report, first select:

  1. The reading types of interest. By default all are selected.
  2. Tick Show offline meters only to filter the report to see just those usage points with offline meters. Readings cannot be acquired when a meter is offline.

Click Run to generate the report. The report examines what interval readings are available for each usage point and reading type for the 28-day period ending today. The report displays a table in the following format:

Column Name Description
Service Location Location of an individual usage point. For residential or most businesses, it is typically the location of a meter on the customer's premises. For transmission, it is the point(s) of interconnection on the transmission provider's transmission system where capacity and/or energy transmitted by the transmission provider is made available to the receiving party. The point(s) of delivery is specified in the service agreement.
Usage Point Name A name identifying a usage point. A usage point is a logical or physical point in the network to which readings or events may be attributed. Used at the place where a physical or virtual meter may be located; however, it is not required that a meter be present.
ID / NMI Unique usage point identifier. Either a National Metering Identifier (NMI) where allocated or an internally generated identifier.
Metrology Requirement Type of data conveyed by the reading
Meter S/N The meter serial number.
Data Quality Colour coded dots indicating data completeness as described below.

Coloured dots summarise the data quality. Hover the mouse of the coloured dots to display the date and summary statistics.

Colour Meaning
Green A complete set of interval readings are available for the day
Amber One or more readings are missing for the day (data gap)
Red No readings are available for the day. The entire day is part of a larger data gap.
Grey No readings are available for the day or any following day. This is not a data gap because the missing readings are not bracketed by available readings, rather, this indicates the meter is offline.
